This year there are more reasons to spend Christmas and New Year holidays in Alberobello. The fabulous Apulian town will host the first edition of the "Christmas market among the trulli". It will take place in Largo Trevisani and Martellota from the 7th December 2017 to the 7th January 2018. Meanwhile trulli will be illuminated by the Christmas lights, trying to reach the success of Alberobello Light Festival winter edition.
There will be also the “Trullo of Santa Claus” to welcome children and their letters, starting from the 17th December. Its location, the “Casa Pezzola” Territory Museum, will also host the traditional nativity scenes exhibition.
Spending family days in Alberobello is the best gift to do for the children, because they will have the chance to see alive the magical world of the new Disney cartoon, "Trulli Tales", which is actually set in Alberobello. “The Adventures of the Trullaleri" in Italy will be first broadcasted by Disney Junior, while it was already a great success in Brazil on Gloobinho kids channel. The 52 episodes are based on the identity kit of Apulia in the world: trulli and great food. The series has been created by an international team, coordinated and from the idea of two sisters from Lecce, Maria Elena and Fiorella Congedo. The cartoon is translated into 17 languages and will reach 69 million households in 112 countries worldwide.
All the locals and tourists can enjoy the holiday atmosphere of the Unesco heritage site, cheered up by concerts of the "Christmas Gospel", "Tribemolle", cover band of Renato Zero and Zucchero. The highlight of the outdoor Christmas market program will surely be the "Terraross" concert. This famous folk group, was recently chosen to present Apulia as a tourist destination in the European capitals. Everybody will surely dance thanks to their engaging charisma on stage and wild “pizzica” and “tarantella”.
Music won't stop playing here. Peter Cincotti will hold a concert on December 17 at the Trulli Theatre Cinema, as part of the "Unesco in Jazz Festival". "Bass Culture" - the organizers of the "Locus Festival" - have managed to include Alberobello among the 10 dates of the young pianist in Europe, after his concerts in London, Paris and Amsterdam.
As by tradition, the “Nativity Live” event in Alberobello is free of charge, just the reservation is recommended. It will take place in the Aia Piccola trulli district on December 26 -29.

The pizzeria-restaurant L'Olmo Bello and the gourmet restaurant Favola in Tavola, both a few steps away from the Rione Monti, offer an awesome New Year Dinner.
