Religious traditions

Southern Italy is famous for it's strong religious traditions, every city and town has his own, and Alberobello is a remarkable sample of this interesting cultural peculiarity. It's not a chance that the end of September, when the saint's patrons holidays occurs, is one of the most interesting and popular periods among the foregneirs for visits. The sumptuous celebrations lasts up to five days and recall thousands of people and pilgrims from the neighbour cities.

Also other times are marked out by many less-known traditions that, if you have a chance, you'll be able to catch, such as the interesting Easter tradition of "singing for the eggs", or the huge fires thet occurs on St. Joseph day.
