Cavatelli with fresh tomatoes and cacioricotta cheese
The cavatello is a simplified variant of orecchietta, especially tasty in the version with wholewheat flour. The recipe is simple but very tasty, fresh tomato, basil and a sprinkling of the salty cheese typical of Alberobello: cacioricotta. At wish, can be added also some chopped wild rocket.
